MONEYPENNY, ALAN LUKE - Beloved son of the late Jim and Doreen and loving brother of the late Peter, passed away on Friday 26th July 2024 after a difficult but bravely borne illness. Alan will be very greatly missed by his very many friends in Belfast and in Portballintrae and especially by Georgie his long time partner and close friend. Alan touched many lives through his basketball career, his work in local government and with Wellington College and several charities. His great contribution to life and sport in Northern Ireland will be a lasting legacy to his love of and his devotion to his homeplace. It was Alan's wish that there would be no funeral service or reception. He asked to be cremated privately and his ashes scattered at Portballintrae.
