CREANE, RHODA - The husband, daughters and family circle of the late Mrs Rhoda Creane, 57 Parkmore, Craigavon, Co. Armagh, BT64 2AE, called Home to Glory peacefully on 8th December 2017, would like to thank most sincerely all the family relatives, the Council and Board members of Covenant Theological Seminary and student fraternity, kind neighbours, work colleagues and friends for their overwhelming support, friendship and loyalty, their kind thoughts, love and prayers, and all who sympathised with them on their recent sad loss and also by remembering them at the Throne of Grace during this time of bereavement, all who sent cards, letters of condolences, telephoned, called at the house, all who attended at the wake and the funeral service, all who gave donations in lieu of flowers to The Intensive Care Unit Royal Victoria Hospital, and all who brought gifts of food and sandwiches to the Family Home or helped in any way. Most gratefully we would like to thank the Rev. Lachlan Webster Minister of Craigavon Presbyterian Church for his uplifting words of comfort and prayers, a great source of spiritual consolation and help especially throughout the past year. He carried out a most encouraging and inspiring Service of worship and Bible Discourse on Psalm 116 in the bereaved home and gave the Committal Address followed with prayer at the graveside in Kernan Cemetery. For the use of the Church premises our thanks goes to the Session and Committee and to the Rev. Robin Brown for his kind words and conducting the Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Rhoda Creane in First Portadown Presbyterian Church, John Crozier for presiding at the organ, Jimmie McKittrick and his willing Catering Group for providing the tea and refreshments after the service in the Church Hall, Cecil Hynes (Caretaker) and all others who assisted in any way to ensure the smooth running of events and management of the seating arrangements. The family wishes very deeply to acknowledge and express a special message of our profound thanks and incredibly grateful with heartfelt appreciation to the Specialist Heart Consultants, Surgeons, Intensive Care Staff and Nurses of Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast, and also to the Carcinoma Cancer Specialists of Craigavon Area Hospital during Rhoda's more recent short hospitalisation and all the Medical Staff and Nurses of Acute Dependency Unit and of Ward 2 North, the Doctors and all the Staff of the Lakes Family Practice at Brownlow Surgery, the Treatment Nurses at Legahory and District Nurses who attended regularly at the home, the Physiotherapists, the Dental Surgeon D H Miller and Staff Lurgan, the Pharmacists and all others who have shown supreme excellence, great compassion, unfailing dedication, exceptional care and professionalism at all times over the past seven years. We are deeply grateful and extend a very special word of thanks to Milne Funeral Services and all their staff who arranged for the use of those excellent facilities with spacious accommodation at their Seagoe Rest Parlour Portadown for the wake, and to Mrs Valerie Milne for the welcome provision and warm hospitality of tea and refreshments in a most efficient and courteous manner. We gratefully acknowledge the compassionate and meticulous attention and kindness in which all the proceedings of funeral plans and detailed arrangements were dutifully put into operation and carried out to the utmost sensitivity in a most dignified, friendly and considered fashion. Our thanks also goes to Mr Thomas Wright (Cemetery Manager) and the gravediggers for preparing Rhoda's last bodily resting place awaiting the Great Day of the Resurrection in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, to whom be all the praise and glory for ever and ever. The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord. (Job 1 v. 21). We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere thanks and grateful appreciation to all.
