BRIGGS, THOMAS EDWARD (EDDIE) - Heather, Jack and Joan wish to extend their sincere thanks to all who sympathised with them in the recent sad loss of their beloved father, brother and partner. Thank you to all family and friends who visited Eddie in hospital during his illness and to those who sent him cards and good wishes. Extreme gratitude to all the staff of Ward 5D at the Royal Victoria Hospital who cared for Eddie in such a kind and professional way. A special word of thanks to the Revd Campbell Dixon for the comfort and support he offered to both Eddie and the wider family circle and for officiating at the funeral service. Gratitude also to Alan Egner of Grosvenor Rugby Club for his wonderful eulogy, to Andrea for a lovely reading and to Ronnie McGowan for organising the reception. Thank you to all those who sent cards, letters of sympathy, telephoned, sent donations in lieu of flowers to NI Chest, Heart and Stroke and attended the funeral. Thanks also to Kirkwoods Funeral Directors, Kings Road for the dignified and compassionate manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
