Cavan, Mabel Elizabeth

CAVAN, MABEL ELIZABETH - Cyril Cavan and Gladys Sloan, the son and daughter of the late Mabel Cavan (nee Hammond) of Ballyhalbert wish to thank all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement. Many thanks to those who called at the home, brought gifts, sent cards, telephoned, gave donations in lieu of flowers, attended the Service of Thanksgiving or helped and supported in any way. Carers from South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust (Donaghadee Office) provided an extra special caring service over several years calling twice a day. Also Peninsula Care provided a much appreciated backup evening service for the last six months at home. Since being admitted to hospital in February and over the ensuing 32 weeks the family appreciate the care and attention received by Mabel from staff at the Ulster Hospital, Domnall Intermediate Care Home, Ards GP Ward and Dunlady House Nursing Home. Thanks also to neighbours, family and friends who visited her over that period. Special thanks to Rev Bill Cameron of Glastry Presbyterian Church for his frequent pastoral visits and for officiating at the Thanksgiving Service, to Ruby Ferguson, organist, and to the ladies from the church who served the refreshments to the large gathering afterwards. Thanks to S Clarke and Son, Funeral Directors for their helpfulness and professionalism with the funeral arrangements. Trusting this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as an expression of our sincere appreciation.
