Cooper, Jack

COOPER, JACK - The wife, daughter and son of the late Frederick John Cooper (known as Jack to a wide circle of friends), who passed away peacefully in hospital on Friday 21st August, wish to express their sincere gratitude for the many acts of kindness they received during Jack's illness and following his death. We wish to thank so many branches of the NHS from the paramedics, ambulance crews, doctors, nurses and other staff principally at the Ulster Hospital but also other hospitals and departments. We are also grateful for the incredible professional and loving care and support Jack received from the carers from Caremark who became friends with both Jack and Norma. The staff at Brook Street Surgery, Holywood over the years have supported Jack during many aspects of his life. Jimmy Warburton, Minister of High Street Holywood Presbyterian Church visited the family, conducted the service wonderfully in these difficult circumstances. His prayers in church, at the graveside at Redburn and at home were meaningful and comforting, also his support to John who was unable to come home. To all who were unable to attend the service in church and who stood outside showed how much Jack was thought of by the community of Holywood - thank you. We have been overwhelmed by the sympathy expressed in the number of telephone calls, letters and cards, gifts of food and flowers and the support from the neighbours of Woodlands and a wide circle of Jack and Norma's friends and wider family. Thank you for your generous donations to St John Ambulance NI whose volunteers do a wonderfully professional service with compassion. Thank you to Stephen Larkin from Melville Morgan for his wise counsel and advice to the family at a difficult time. He was always available to give guidance and it is deeply appreciated. We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our gratitude.
