McREYNOLDS, DONAL - Deirdre, John, Caron and the whole family circle wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them on the occasion of Donal's death. We were amazed and deeply moved by so many making a long journey to support us on the day of his funeral and staying until the very end to say a final goodbye to this special man. Thank you to Father Cargan who was warm, welcoming and sensitive, particularly with regards our request for a close friend of Donal's to speak at the end of what was a beautiful Requiem Mass, so enriched by the voices and music of the Gribben Girls. We would also like to thank relatives, friends, neighbours, all our precious Carers from Connected Health and, on several occasions in the last few weeks, the overnight Marie Curie nurses who helped us during a very difficult time. On the day Donal was buried, our hearts were lifted by many of these generous people gathering around the house in the morning as we left. At the funeral parlour, more stood as the hearse drove him away to the church. We have been uplifted since then by many messages, cards and donations. Many, many thanks to all of you and to all those at McKiernan and Sons, Funeral Directors who could not have been more helpful.
