HENDERSON, GERRY (DERRY) - March 8, 2014. Gerry's wife, brothers, sisters and entire family circle would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their kindness, sympathy and support they received during the sad and sudden passing of Gerry, and over the course of his wake and funeral. Thank you to everyone who called at the house, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and floral tributes, and to all the family and friends who helped during the wake and funeral. Sincere thanks to Gerry's many work colleagues, past and present, who shared happy memories of their time with him. A final word of thanks to Gordon Donaldson and the Staff of Adair & Neely Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowlegement will be accepted by all. We were truly overwhelmed by the number of people Gerry had touched throughout his life. We, his family, all knew he was very special, but it is comforting to know just how much Gerry meant to so many people. Gerry's Month's Mind Mass will be offered on Sunday 13th April at 12.00 noon, in St Columba's Church, Long Tower, Derry. Death leaves a heartache which no-one can heal, love leaves a memory which no-one can steal.
