BUCKLE, DESMOND - (Carryduff). Margaret, Paul and Kierna wish to thank all those who sympathised with them on the death of Desmond. Special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the I.C.U. Ulster Hospital for their outstanding care of Desmond during his short illness. Thank you to Fr. Martin O'Hagan who attended to Desmond's spiritual needs while on Ward 15. Special thanks to the parishioners of Carryduff and beyond who helped the family through this difficult time. Thanks to everyone who called at the house, brought gifts, attended the funeral, sent cards, letters of sympathy, Mass cards, gave donations to Apostolic in lieu of flowers, to the Knights of Columbanus who organised the car parking and seating in the church and indeed to all who helped in any way. To those who made the Celebration of the Requiem Mass so meaningful, special thanks to Fr. Martin Kelly for his beautiful homily, to Fathers Sean McCartney, Brian Watters, Mel Byrne CP. and Samuel Udogbo CSSp. who concelebrated the Mass and to Fr. Colin Grant and Bishop Anthony Farquhar who attended the evening removal. Thanks to the Drumbo Folk Choir who provided the beautiful music, to those who provided a Guard of Honour on leaving the Church and the Staff of the Ivanhoe Inn. A final thank you to Down Funeral Directors for their dignified management of the funeral arrangements and to all those family and friends for the professional way they carried out their duties. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions. The Month's Mind Mass for Desmond will be Celebrated on Saturday 14th February 10.00 a.m. Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Carryduff.
