CARMICHAEL, NORMAN JOSEPH - Wife Joan, sons Keith, Ian and Derek, daughters-in-law Elaine, Linda and Karen and grandson Jack wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the many family and friends who assisted them in their recent sad bereavement. We extend our many thanks to the many people who called at the house, sent sympathy cards, attended the funeral, gave donations in lieu of flowers to the McDermott Unit, Ulster Hospital Dundonald, or helped in any way. A special word of thanks to all the medical staff at the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald, and the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. Sincere thanks to Canon Sam McComb for his service at home and for all his support and friendship in recent years. Also to Canon Norman Porteus and Canon Drew Dawson for all their help and support and for conducting the services in the Church and at the graveside, to Mr. Jim Gracey for leading the tribute during the Church service and Mrs. Gail Graham for playing the pipes at the Church and at the graveside. A word of thanks also to Mrs. Joy Greer and the team of ladies who prepared and served a lovely tea in the Parish Hall after the committal, this was very much appreciated. Thanks also to the P.S.N.I. for their help with traffic control. A special mention to Mr. Bryan Steenson for all his help and the professional and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation at this sad time.
