WINTERS, SAMUEL REID - The wife Lynda, daughters Kathy, Laura, Rachel and the entire family circle of the late Samuel Reid Winters (retired R.U.C. George Cross) wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad and sudden bereavement. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the kind relatives, friends and neighbours who called at the family home, brought gifts, sent cards, letters, telephoned, gave donations in lieu of flowers for R.U.C. George/Cross Widows Association, Masonic Charities, St. Canice's Parish Church, attended the funeral or helped in family home during the wake. Special thanks to Mr. Nelson and his Staff and Ambulance Personnel (Altnagelvin Hospital) who tried to resuscitate Reid, also to William and Sonia Duncan and other members of the public who stopped to help. Sincere thanks to Constable H. Morrison and P.S.N.I. colleagues who arrived on the scene and gave support. Special word of thanks to the Rev. Brian Hasson for his pastoral care, prayers, words of comfort and for officiating at the funeral service in the church and the committal service at Roselawn Crematorium. Extended word of thanks to St. Canice's Parish Church Select Vestry for the use of the church hall for teas to The Coffee Stop who provided the refreshments which was so appealing, also to the Sexton Mr & Mrs J. Robinson for all their help, also to P.S.N.I. for traffic control. Special thank-you to David and Ruth Hay and Staff of D. & R. Hay Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and for their compassionate after care service. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deep sincere appreciation. 3 Heather Drive, Eglinton.
