Kerr, Kenneth F. Dr
KERR, KENNETH F. DR. - Wife Audrey, sons John and Andrew, their wives and children, sister Marie and the wider family circle, would like to express our thankfulness for all care, support, kindness and sensitivity shown in recent months, both in Ken's final illness, and in our bereavement. We have been very conscious, throughout, of the many prayers and thoughts of those who knew and loved him, which have been answered by our God in the most gracious, wonderful ways. We are indebted to Dr. James Rowney and the team at Finaghy Health Centre, the Marie Curie Trust, and the local District Nurses, all of whom were tireless and meticulous in their care and attention of Ken. We were encouraged to see, meet and converse with all of those who came to the Funeral Service, in Knockbracken to pay their final respects and to express their concern. We know, from subsequent calls and letters, that there are many other friends who would have been present had they known about Ken's death. To all who have written, called, phoned, brought gifts, expressed condolences, upheld us in prayer, or shown kindness in any way, we are so grateful at this time of loss. It has been heartening to hear many express a deep appreciation for Ken's work in various capacities down through the years, either in his work as a GP and Homoeopathic Physician, or as a lecturer, teacher, mentor and faculty fellow. It was also deeply gratifying to receive generous donations, which have now been forwarded to the Marie Curie Trust. As a family we benefitted directly and greatly from their care and advice, and know that these donations will help this worthy cause support other cancer patients and their families. We would further extend our appreciation to the Funeral Director, Norman McBriar, and his team, who helped relieve the burden of the funeral arrangements and organised the reception afterwards. To the congregation of Knockbracken Reformed Presbyterian Church, where Ken worshipped, and in whose grounds his remains have been laid to rest, we extend thanks to God for all your love, prayers, support and fellowship. We trust that this acknowledgement conveys, as a family, all our sincere and deep appreciation. The Kerr family.
