Mckinney, Kathleen -
McKINNEY KATHLEEN Jimmy, Carmel and Sheena McKinney wish to thank all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement on the loss of a much loved wife and mother, Mary Catherine (Kathleen). We have taken immense comfort from the kindness and compassion of so many people who came to pay their respects at the family home, placed condolences in the press, sent letters and cards, sympathy floral tributes, contacted each one of us personally and attended the Funeral Mass in the Good Shepherd Church. We are deeply appreciative of such thoughtful gestures and thank each one of you for playing your part in supporting us through such a difficult time in our lives. Our thanks to the Ladies of Belvoir Park Golf Club, Derryvolgie and St. Joseph's Bridge Club Members, the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and Fire Brigades Union, professional colleagues across many organisations and sectors, your presence at the funeral was deeply appreciated. We also thank former work colleagues and social contacts of Kathleen, who took the time to be with us to offer their condolences in such a personal and special way. We thank our friends and relatives who were with us throughout Kathleen's declining health. We appreciate the participation of close family and friends in the Celebration of the Mass, in the Offertory Procession, Prayers of the Faithful, Ministers of the Eucharist and Pallbearers. We are enormously grateful to all. We thank Very Reverend Paul Armstrong P.P. and Reverend Aidan Denny C.C. for their pastoral and spiritual support to the family and for celebrating such a beautiful Funeral Mass with such wonderful music and voice from Lee Magee harpist and soloist. We appreciate very much the kindness and compassion of the Management and Staff of Our Lady's Nursing Home, the Doctors from Grosvenor Road Surgery who were so sensitive and compassionate to Kathleen and our family. We are grateful also for the kindness and care given to Kathleen for many years by the Doctors and Staff of North Parade Medical Practice. Our thanks to O'Kane's Funeral Home Management and Staff for their sensitive manner in which the funeral arrangements were conducted. Kathleen's Month's Mind Mass will be on Saturday 20th February at 6.00 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Church. Those who die in Grace go no further than God and God is very near. The McKinney Family.
